Olive
oil shampoo bar
Welcome
to a new way of washing your hair. The Annah shampoo bar is designed to gently
cleanse hair without
over drying it, and is suitable for all hair types. If you have dry hair
and scalp, it is advisable to wash hair less frequently; those who normally
have oily hair may also find that this product normalises the scalp's sebum
production, resulting in hair which stays clean, for longer.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Ensure hair is completely wet or product may be difficult to lather.
Rub bar onto scalp, and massage out towards hair ends, then rinse
thoroughly. Repeat only if hair is particularly oily.
This cleansing process leaves hair slightly alkaline; it will feel "squeaky
clean", perhaps a little rough and will tangle more easily. Do not
attempt to comb hair; gently squeeze excess water from hair ends and follow
immediately
with a vinegar rinse to restore hair and scalp's natural acidity and leave
hair silky smooth and tangle free.
Vinegar rinse:
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 2 cups warm water
HOW IS THIS PRODUCT DIFFERENT TO NORMAL SHAMPOO?
Our shampoo is a specially formulated pure soap, made from olive oil
with added castor oil for gentle cleansing lather and jojoba to
moisturise. We
use no synthetics or fragrances, just pure natural ingredients
to create this special bar, which is equally kind to both hair and
scalp.
And
as this shampoo cleanses gently and also moisturises, you may not
need an
additional
conditioner. But we strongly recommend you use a vinegar rinse
after shampooing to restore the acid mantle to hair and scalp, and
leave
hair smooth and static-free.
Most commercial shampoo available today is a cocktail of chemicals,
foremost among which is Sodium Laureth Sulphate, a surfactant
which is included
for its lathering and grease stripping qualities. Basically,
modern shampoo in
all its multitude of forms could be viewed as scented and coloured
detergent, not dissimilar to the kind you wash dishes with.
Unfortunately, many
people with skin sensitivities react badly to the sodium laureth
sulphate, synthetic
fragrances and other chemicals in liquid shampoo.
CARE FOR YOUR SHAMPOO BAR
As with all our soaps, you should keep your shampoo bar on a free-draining
rack and allow it to dry between uses to prolong its life.
